Biography
Larry I Emdur DO, PhD, MBA graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1978. He did his medicine and pulmonary training at the Cleveland Clinic. He has been in private pulmonary practice in San Diego since 1984. He is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Alvarado Hospital in San Diego which is part of the Prime Health Care network in the USA with over 45 hospitals. He is the fourth patient in California to have the INSPIRE hypoglossal nerve stimulator implanted to control his severe obstructive sleep apnea. He is involved with a team of pulmonologists, sleep specialists and ENT surgeon who has planted over 30 lf these upper airway stimulation devises in a community hospitals setting. This abstract describes the results from our hospital team.
